BIPL Innovation funding program: Regional hemp protein value chain.

Our sustainable approach convinced and we were able to receive a funding in the amount of around €800,000 to support our sustainable, innovative and regional project.

The Ministry of Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection of Baden-Württemberg in Germany approved our project together with the University of Hohenheim to develop a regional hemp protein value chain. ??

Therefore, in the future, we will cultivate hemp in Baden-Württemberg together with farmers, produce organic hemp seeds, organic hemp seed oil and organic hemp protein and make delicious vegan and regional products available in food retail. We will focus on a sustainable nutrition that makes it possible to replace everyday products that have so far been transported to Germany from faraway countries by large ships or produced by factory farming. We will do this with regionally produced hemp products such as meat substitutes and more!

This is the right signal by the German Government towards sustainable, plant-based and regional products and especially towards the very versatile hemp plant. We are already looking forward to the job creation, joint development and research with the University of Hohenheim as well as the delicious regional consumer products, which we hope will soon be found in the food retail trade.

Research Project: “TASTINO”
The research project launched under the name TASTINO complements the research in the area of use and suitability of hemp varieties grown regionally in Baden-Württemberg for the production of protein-rich food products.
