Hygiene standards play an important role in the food industry, where avoiding foodborne health hazards should always be a top priority. At Signature Products we are committed to good manufacturing practices and are pleased to announce that our company is now HACCP certified.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is based on the EU regulation on food safety and is a self-control system with which risks in the handling of food can be identified and rendered harmless through a system of measures. The HACCP process covers all operations in the food chain - from food production and preparation to packaging and distribution. HACCP is recognized as a standard throughout the European Union.
The HACCP certification process involves many steps and requires a lot of planning. As part of an annual audit, the hygiene and prevention measures as well as the general process control in all processing steps of each individual product are checked. If all requirements are met, the certificate is valid for three years.
The exam includes:
- Pest control system
- Cleaning & Disinfection
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Buildings & Facilities
Our HACCP certification officially confirms that Signature Products has developed, documented and implemented the necessary systems and procedures in accordance with their required standards. HACCP enables us to ensure internationally recognized quality standards for our products and also fulfill the requirements for developing a robust food safety plan. In addition, we already work according to the GMP standard, although we are not yet officially GMP-certified. This certificate is proof that our company is globally competitive in terms of food safety.
