Our virtual dinner party
It is important to us that we do not neglect the interpersonal aspect, even if we mainly work together digitally. To strengthen our team spirit, we regularly host virtual meetings where we talk about anything but business.
The Signature Products team consists of more than 20 employees with an average age of around 27 years, including part-time and full-time employees as well as working students. We are scattered all over Europe: Valencia, Hamburg, Berlin, Lisbon and even St. Petersburg. Together, our experts from various industries such as IT, marketing, sales and design fight every day for a healthier and happier society and future.
It is important to us that we do not neglect the interpersonal aspect, even if we mainly work together digitally. To strengthen our team spirit, we regularly host virtual meetings where we talk about anything but business. By talking about more personal topics, we try to get to know each other better.
Our virtual get-togethers are usually a mixture of relaxed conversations and creative team building activities. For example, we answer personal questions about ourselves or try to find things through conversation that we all have in common despite cultural differences. Usually, we also play various games, like Gartic Phone, Code Names, Among Us etc..
Our last get together took place this Tuesday. This time we decided to eat together to make the meeting a little more comfortable. The idea was that each of us would order our own food that we like and eat it together with the others in a virtual group. We wanted to try to create an informal atmosphere and communicate more freely with each other. In order to get to know our new team members better, we created breakout rooms where we talked about our hobbies and other general topics.
The meeting went very smoothly. Also present were the five colleagues from the sales team who are currently holding an on-site get-together in Valencia. The food that was ordered arrived on time. We had sushi, salad, pizza and pide (Turkish flat bread). An advantage of only being able to see your colleagues via webcam was that everyone could enjoy their own food and didn't have to share it with anyone, even if the others' mouths were watering.
It was a great end to the day and very motivating. We would like to eat together more often in the future. Thanks to all who participated!
