This recipe features our Signature Products Hemp Seed Oil. Enjoy your pasta or bruschetta together with this delicious and hearty pesto.
- 25 grams pine nuts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 35 grams basil
- 125 ml Signature Products Hemp Seed Oil
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of pepper
- optional: nutritional yeast and a squeeze of lemon
Roast the pine nuts in a pan with no oil for a couple of minutes or until they smell flagrant and have browned. Let them cool down for a bit. Chop the garlic. Add the lukewarm pine nuts to a grinder with the chopped garlic. Grind until a creamy consistency forms. Add the salt, pepper and the washed and drained basil. Grind everything together until a green mixture forms. Now add the Signature Products Hemp Seed Oil and optional the nutritional yeast and the lemon. Grind again. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper.
If you don’t have a grinder you can also use a blender.
