Signature Products starts a cooperation with the EIHA
As a partner of EIHA - European Industrial Hemp Association, we do not want to be just a standard member and benefit from information and great work of EIHA. Instead, we want to have a strong influence on the development of the hemp sector and legal development by providing data, cooperation, manpower and lobbying. We are looking forward to a good cooperation.
The European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA) is an association based in Brussels (Belgium). It is an association of the hemp processing industry and represents the common interests of commercial hemp growers and industrial processors of commercial hemp at national and European level. The mission of the EIHA is to guide and promote the trade of hemp in the European Union. In its work, the EIHA follows the principles of social, environmental and economic sustainability.
Since 2011, the organisation has been a member of the Technical Committee "bio-based products" CEN/TC411 of the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN). Since 2013, EIHA has been a member of the "Expert Group on Bio-based Products". Also since 2013, the association has been a member of the technical committee of the "Bioeconomy Panel" of the European Commission.
The "International Conference of the European Industrial Hemp Association", which has been held annually since 2003, was one of the largest conferences on the topic of industrial hemp in the world in 2014, with over 200 participants from 39 countries. The increasing number of visitors in recent years is in line with the growth of the industry.

The EIHA was founded as an unofficial association in Wolfsburg on 14 September 2000. An official foundation and registration as an association took place on 23 November 2005 in Brühl (Rhineland). At its foundation, the EIHA had seven members from Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. The founding board consisted of John Hobson (Great Britain), Cesare Tofani (Italy), and Bernd Frank (Germany). All founding members were involved in the processing of hemp fibres.
