Signature Products & Sustainability - becoming CO2-neutral by 2025
We have made it our goal to produce and operate in a CO2-neutral manner by 2025 at the latest. Of course we do not rest on the fact that the hemp plant itself is already an extremely sustainable plant.
We have made it our goal to produce and operate in a CO2-neutral manner by 2025 at the latest. Of course we do not rest on the fact that the hemp plant itself is already an extremely sustainable plant, for example, one ton of hemp absorbs 1.6 tons of CO2.
Sustainability and the fight against climate change are top priorities for us and this is visible in all areas of the company. In our work, we always try to produce and act in a way that conserves resources as much as possible. A high level of climate commitment is also very important to us in relation to our cooperation partners. Through our initiatives and our commitment, we ensure a greener and more sustainable value chain and do our best to leave future generations a planet as diverse as the one we are privileged to experience.
With this in mind, we send our parcels nationally and internationally in a climate-neutral manner using DHL GoGreen. The principle here is that DHL measures the average CO2 emissions and offsets them through climate-protecting projects.
In cooperation with the Eden Reforestation Projects we plant a tree for every product sold. These projects support reforestation in various countries, for example Madagascar, Kenya and Brazil. It also helps to ensure that local people, who often live in poor conditions, have a fair and secure job and consequently a continuous income.
As the best-before date approaches for our BUDDY brand of CBD oils, we sell them on Too Good to Go. This is a platform where companies can advertise and sell food that is about to expire, for example, at a lower price. This way we avoid a lot of unnecessary waste of products that can still be used and enjoyed carefree. Also, someone on the other end is happy to have a cheap and high quality product.
We give the leftovers of our hemp to farmers who use it as mixed feed for animals. This way we close the loop of our value chain and reduce the leftovers of our production to a minimum.
